Calla, from the Greek kalos (beautiful), is not just a flower-shaped vase, but a tribute to the fragility and power of Woman, celebrated through the majesty of nature and the interpretative genius of the Divine, embodying tragic beauty in a transtemporal sculptural portrait.
The contrasting materials contrast the terracotta, tied to the earth, representing roots, human suffering, vulnerability, and carnality (Callas the woman, tormented and passionate), with the crystalline, which acts as a filter of purification and aesthetic elevation: it vitrifies the surface, captures the light, and sublimates its torments, transforming them into pure artistic splendor.
