Genesis
The milky, ethereal body of a slender female figure contracts in a twist, attempting to emerge from the rough stone. The woman, trapped in the stone block, evokes Michelangelo’s non-finito as she struggles to free herself—or perhaps to soar—leaving parts polished and others rough. Here, the form becomes a symbol of expressive freedom, is slowly eroded, reducing the image to a simple, intimate and innocent FOSSIL. The title “GENESIS” takes us back to the origin of creation: to the genesis of the world, to the right and gradual process of conceptualizing and organizing a work of art in the artist’s mind. In the delicate whiteness of milk, the fluid lines of ceramic merge with the simplicity of stone to create a powerful, humble, and elegant image. Does the stone engulf the body, or is it the body that triumphs over the stone, growing inside it and altering its structure? Thus, the rock comes to life, becoming anthropomorphic—belly, breast, limbs in pieces with varying textures and extensions. Form and skin transform into the pale, milky ceramic surface. The milky white aims to be a whisper of fertility and of the very concept of the creative act.

Il corpo latteo ed etereo di un’esile figura femminile si contrae in torsione nel tentativo di emergere dalla pietra grezza. La donna intrappolata nel blocco di pietra, evocando il non finito di Michelangelo, cerca di liberarsi o forse librarsi, lasciando parti levigate e altre grezze. Qui la forma, simbolo di libertà espressiva viene erosa lentamente, riducendo l’immagine a semplice, intimo ed innocente FOSSILE. Il titolo “GENESI” ci riporta all’ origine della formazione: alla genesi del mondo, al diritto e al graduale concretarsi e organizzarsi di un’opera d’arte nella mente dell’artista. Nella delicatezza del bianco latte, le linee fluide della ceramica si innestano nella semplicità della pietra per creare un’immagine umile ed elegante. La pietra inghiotte il corpo oppure è il corpo che vince sulla pietra crescendo al suo interno e modificandone la struttura? Ecco che la roccia si anima per diventare antropomorfa, ventre, seno, pezzi di arti con una diversa consistenza ed estensione. Mentre la struttura della pietra smussa ogni rigidita’ per lasciarsi tracciare dalla timida dolcezza della ceramica in un processo privo di definizioni, aperto a diverse interpretazioni, forma ed epidermie tracciano una pallida e lattiginosa superficie bianco latte che vuole essere un sussurro alla fertilità e all’idea stessa di atto creativo.
